  1. Thanks for the nice comment you left me on my blog in response to one I left on your other blog.

I forgot to tell you that I was also a school teacher for 13 years. I had worked in R&D for about the same length of time and then got into teaching because over here we only went 185 days out of each year. So I was able to get the whole summer off to write books or do what I wanted to do.

During these times I started a business and built it up and sold it and did a 13-week television show that I hosted that was sponsored by Parker Pen Ltd.

I did all kinds of things but really retired in 1976 and didn't do much and never drew or got a paycheck after that. I did write more books and still get some small income from them.

My students loved me and what I did and many of them went on to be teachers, they said, because I had inspired them to do it.

I liked teaching a lot but then the students changed and while I had no problems it was a time in my life where 13 years was enough. I needed to do something different.

  2. Lovely goals...and building a castle?

You can do what you put your mind to, you know...that includes castles.

  3. God Bless u and all and have a great week
