Seine River Cruise
I really wanted to post something long this week for Timeless Thursdays but just earlier, while I was fixing some pictures from my trip to Paris, I stumbled upon this photo and decided I'll share this one with all of you. No long stories needed for this one I believe, the photo says it all.

PS I would have to apologize to all of you my blog friends, I have been caught up with a lot of work this past couple of weeks but please remember that your comments are very appreciated and makes me so happy to read them, it eases all my stresses. Sending everyone love! And please do pray for the Philippines, especially my countrymen that were greatly affected by the flooding due to the typhoon that passed through earlier this week.
Never Stop Dreaming!

ReplyDeleteThat is amazing, I love that photo AND I have been there. I am glad I don't have a fear of heights!
Waaaa dearest Ananka, that is something I missed, climbing up the Eiffel! Well I guess a reason to come back to right! Hugs back to Scotland!
Delete...a place that I most likely will get to see on my own, thanks for taking me along.
ReplyDeleteI would so love to be back again Tom! Missed a lot due to the transport strike while I was there :) All my pleasure and thanks for coming with us at Timeless Thursdays!
DeleteI just love that photograph, it's amazing.
ReplyDeleteSaying a prayer for all those affected by the flooding.
Stay safe and well.
All the best Jan
Thank you very much for your thoughts and prayers dear Jan, those are very much appreciated :)
DeleteFantastic photo! I have to make it back to France once Notre Dame is finished being repaired. I made the mistake of only going on a day trip from London. I hope life is treating you okay with the typhoon and with Covid.
ReplyDeleteOh yes you are right! I really want to see it open as well! I have been there and it was still in the middle of being fixed. All is well thank you so much! Please be safe too!
DeleteHi, it's me again. I was trying to find a way to contact you - could you please e-mail me at becky@trekkingwithbecky.com? I'm wondering if you'd like to participate in my collaborative series because I think you'd be great! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteOh sure I'll send you an email and find out more about your series :)
DeleteIt is a very long time since ai was in Paris, other than for flight connections at Charles de Gaulle International Airport. Your poor country continues to be beset by storm after storm, and so much tree cover has been removed that the results are ever more devastating. I hope that some serious reforestation is taking place. Stay well.
ReplyDeletethat is very true my friend David :( And now it's a very strong one coming. You said it very right! It's just sad that the current admin doesn;'t really prioritize reforestation. Hoping the next one will. Be well and safe David!
DeleteGreat photo, dear Stevenson!
ReplyDeleteI saw the tower only in daylight, we stepped up. I was living in Louviers for two weeks with a French family when I was... 14!
But I see it every 6 months. My dentist has a huge pic of it on the wall - not the best association, LOL! Sorry you have so much work, hope that changes soon. And that despite of it you enjoy at least what you do! Hugs from here...
Iris!!!! You always make me laugh! But I am so amazed that you got to live with a French family! I would have loved that too! Love that you see it every 6 months! Now I realize I see it everyday just above my bed :) I do my best to enjoy it but if not, I try to find other things to take me away from it HAHAHAHA Sending you hugs to Germany dear Iris!
DeleteParis is an amazing city, isn't it? I visited for 5 days in 2009 and I want to go back because 5 days is not enough. I love that photo of you in front of the Eiffel Tower. We did one of those Seine River cruises too which was a good way to see some things. Now I need to go see what trip I would like to post today. Hope all is well.
ReplyDeleteOh it was magical dear Erika right! To be in the Seine :) Thanks to my highschool bff that treated me to the river ride! Looove your trip to France as well! I wanted to see the France outside Paris but never made it. Hopeful that someday :)
DeleteThere is nothing like the Eiffel Tower at night!
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts go out to those impacted by the typhoon.
Thank you so much Jackie! Sending hugs and thoughts back to Toronto!
DeleteThe Eiffel Tower is really special when lit up at night and visible from almost everywhere in the city. We had a friend who could see it from her windows in her high-rise apartment in a near suburb. In one of the apartments where we lived on a long stay there, we could also see it, day and night. There are also good views from the opposite side of the city, where there's a big hill with beautiful views. Or from the top of the Pompidou Center modern art museum. Such a great structure!
ReplyDeletebe well... mae at maefood.blogspot.com
Dearest Mae, if I was your friend who lives with the Eiffel on view, it sure will be as good as the first time I saw it even if I see it everyday :) It's just so magical! My friend's house was far from it so it wasn;t visible on a daily basis, I still needed to ride a Tram and a Metro :)
DeleteSuch an iconic landmark Stevenson, I have very fond memories of my visits also đ Sending many positive vibes for your country all the way across the Indian Ocean đ Have just enjoyed looking back over you last couple of Timeless Thursdays to catch up. Take good care of yourself đ
ReplyDeleteOh dearest Grace that is so nice of you, thank you so much! It's really scary and is said to be the strongest this year on earth. Sending back hugs to beautiful Perth!
DeleteLove your photo :)
ReplyDeleteThe only Eiffel Tower I have seen was the one at Las Vegas, and it's not quite the same thing!
Take care, Mxx
Oh I know that dear Margaret for I have seen photos of it too, it also looks so cute :) Sending you hugs to NZ!
DeleteDivine photo and creative of the Eiffel Tower!
ReplyDeleteLive each moment with love,
A ShutterBug Explores
aka (A Creative Harbor)
Thank you so much dearest Carol! It's a memory of a lifetime!
DeleteThat photo does say it all! We feel bad for our old neighbors when we lived in New Orleans. They have had four tropical storms hit them this season. No severe damage but loss of power is a problem. Hope that lives were not lost in the Philippines. Thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteOh that is scary! The Central Gulf area does get hit with worse ones :( I hope they are all well. Always a pleasure to have you my friend Kenneth on Timeless Thursdays :)
DeleteDearest Stevenson,
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely Paris photo of you with the Eiffel Tower at night in the back!
Fond memories, no doubt.
Sad news about your country due to extreme weather. It can be so devastating you your part of the world.
We endured a flooding of sorts, the main water pipe, from the water-company, burst open alongside the road. Still a lot of mess but it got repaired and our garden and everything eventually will recover. No more water inside the home... A stressful week, using the wet vac.
Hugs,
Mariette
Oh my dear Mariette! I hope it's all sorted out now. Thank you so much, the typhoon hitting us to enter tonight is said to be the strongest on earth for 2020 as per Washington Post. Very scary indeed but hopes are all up! Sending you hugs!

DeleteIf Covid hadn't happened I would be at Morgan's Forge near Bath in the UK now. Ah well -- I can revisit and share this cottage in the country where we stayed with you! I adore this photo -- it's a stunning picture. You look divinely happy here and the tower is always exquisite.
ReplyDeleteOh dearest Jeanie! Thank you so so so much for sharing the beautiful cottage! I felt so cozy just looking at it! I wanna visit such a beautiful house someday! Reminds me of British romantic films I've watched :)
DeleteOh Paris, I imagine that you would like it a lot, what a beautiful, romantic and welcoming city, you have everything to live intensely and that will last in your memory.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend.
Greetings friend.
I very much agree with you my friend José Antonio, my first trip to Paris was the first stop to my first trip to Europe and I will forever treasure it! I hope someday I can also visit your Spain :)
DeleteBom dia meu querido amigo. Sua foto em Paris ficou muito bonita. Parabéns.
ReplyDeleteMuito Obrigado meu amigo!!! Parabens!
DeleteBeautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Regine! Happy Weekend :)
DeleteWhat a great shot of an iconic landmark. So much beauty in France glad you got to visit it.
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself, stay safe and post when you can.
Thank you so so much my friend Bill! You are right, just right before the pandemic happened! Please stay safe there in Ireland!
DeleteBeautiful photo, Stevenson. I've read about your crazy weather, very extreme. Please stay safe and hopefully it will pass fast. Take care, my friend.
ReplyDeleteOh that is so nice of you Bill, thank you so much! We were spared here in our city but other provinces are devastated :(
DeleteVery Studious Photo There Brother Man - Hang In There With The Work Thing - Be Well
ReplyDeleteCheers
Thank you so so much my brother Padre :) Sending cheers and hugs to CO!
DeleteA wonderful photo Stevenson - beautifully composed. I have just returned from a road trip with two friends - we had three days in New Plymouth, but the weather was wet and windy and not conducive to photography!
ReplyDeleteStay safe
Blessings
Maxine
Waaaa dearest Maxine I am very happy to hear that you went on a roadtrip! I know what you mean about wet places and pictures, but surely your eyes were on feast with beautiful rainy landscapes :)
DeleteIt certainly has it's own beauty, the rain and the wind, and add in the sea and it becomes spectacular!
DeleteA beautiful photo of you with the Eiffel tower. I haven't participated this week either, as I was swamped with work and really tired.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry for the typhoon's devastation of last week and I just heard there was a new and stronger one today which would probably affect the area where you live. My daughter who was living in Batangas left the Philippines on the 5th of October, to Germany as her husband got a new contract. She was sad to leave because she loved the weather and the people she met there.
Keep safe, hope all is well with you and your family.
Oh dearest Sami! It's perfect timing that your daughter and her family left last 5th because Batangas was also greatly devastated by the typhoon! I wish her the best on their new life in Germany. Hope to see you again this week dear Sami!
DeleteThat's an awesome pic of you with the Eiffel Tower lit up behind you! Wish I had one of me like that! LOL
ReplyDeleteOh thank you so much Susie :) I am happy you like it as well! My friend took that for me :)
DeleteNice to see both yourself and the Eiffel Tower, Stevenson. Thoughts and prayers for those affected by flooding, as here in the US parts of Louisiana have also been devastated. No worries about not being able to blog visit because of work as we will be here when you can visit. We all need to do what needs to be done first.
ReplyDeleteThank you so so much dear Beatrice! I am so saddened also when I heard about Louisiana. Thank you so much for understanding :) I just love visiting your blogs and seeing your visits :)
DeleteHei!Veldig fint bilde av deg med EiffeltÄrnet i bakgrunnen!
ReplyDeleteHĂ„per alt er bra med deg!
Hilsen Anita
Thank you very much Anita :) All is well, thank you so much! Stay safe :)
