One of the things I love best about Bangkok is their cuisine that you can enjoy on the streets! Hawkers and stalls line up at dinner time and gives you not just an array of delectable dishes that are cooked right in front of you as you order, but also the experience of seeing how it's cooked and at the same time, dining near hustling cars and the sounds of tuktuks near you.
Let me share some of those dishes that I have tried on my second trip to Thailand last 2018
Pad Thai
Thai Fried Pork Belly with Bean Sprouts
Thai Fried Rice
Spicy Pork with Thai Basil
Green Papaya Salad
Red Hot Kentucky Fried Chicken (The red breading gives you an idea how spicy it is right?)
Never Stop Dining!

...all of the food looks great, soon it will be lunch time here. I'm hungry! Thanks for hosting my friend.
ReplyDeletePerfect! Wishing you a hearty and healthy lunch my friend Tom :)
DeleteThe dishes look delicious all, for my spicy I do not like, I sin the other exquisite.
ReplyDeleteI recommend you read in my blogs the commentary that I make you regarding the subject of painting.
Greetings, buddy.
Oh my friend José Antonio thank you so much for that encouraging comment! You truly are an artist, even your comments are so artistically written :) I'll do my best to try even if I tear papers with it haha :)
DeleteThe food looks delicious. I love Thai food but would pass on the KFC. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day, my friend and take care, stay safe!
Hahaha I never had the guts to try it again too Bill no matter how I love spicy foods, that one was a bit too much for me HAHA Have a great weekend coming my friend Bill!
DeleteI'll take one of each, please! I remember going to Chinatown in Bangkok, it was amazing and delicious.
ReplyDeleteOh yes! I remember tasting all the little fruits on Chinatown and then having those fresh squeezes pomegranate juice! Thanks Jackie :)
DeleteOMG it looks mega spicy! I am not good with spicy!! Tasty food indeed, do they have a lot of Tofu over there in Bangkok? As a non-meat eater, I love tofu so much!!! That salad sure looks good :-D
ReplyDeleteOh you would love Tofu there Ananka :) It's nice to hear that you don;t eat meat, I am a big meat eater but I think it's better to stay away from it as much as I can.
DeleteBoa noite meu querido amigo. Tantas delícia. A segunda e quinta foto meu deu muita vontade de comer.
ReplyDeletethank you so so much my friend! Hugs to Brazil!
DeleteThat pad thai looks so good. My favorite of the Thai dishes, along with a soup with coconut milk. Now I have a yen for Thai food... and it's too late for take-out!
ReplyDeleteUhhhhh I love anything with coconut milk too dear Jeanie! Oh keep it, you'll have the chance soon :)
DeleteIt's great to enjoy a culinary dish in a place where we can see the cooking process firsthand.
ReplyDeleteThe atmosphere and type of Thai food street reminds me of the culinary center of Chinese food in Gloria, Glodog area in Jakarta.
Oh I would looove to try the food in Jakarta Himawan! I had Nasi goreng and Nasi campur every single day in Bali and I loved it so much!
Deleteoooh yes I have a thing for asian and thai food, we regularly buy it here. Love a good pad thai.
ReplyDeletePad Thai is the best dish in the whole wide world! Okay next to Spaghetti Thanks Amy :)
DeleteDearest Stevenson, how can you do this?!
ReplyDeleteYou make me hmmmm, awwww, yummmm - and it´s not even 07:00 am! And then you make me LAUGH, the students above probably woke up. 🤣
Now I have too look for that pic Ingo took of me in Mexico where I had a burger.
And you have a Henry on your shirt! 🦁
OMG Iris! that Burger photo was sooo inviting! I suddenly thought if I can make my own one now but I only have things for bread and butter toast HAHAHA
DeleteOMG!!!! That IS Henry!!!! I miss that Shirt!!! I think I had that donated with other clothes to the Volcano victims early this year.
Oh, P.S., funny enough, it runs "in the family" - I today have a pic of my Dad looking like you, too!
ReplyDeleteyour Dad is super cool Iris!!! Love that photo and also your Grandma at the back :)
DeleteWow, lots of delicious food, my favourite being the Fried rice. I couldn't eat the spicy chicken at all, would be coughing for ages :)
ReplyDeleteToday I'm posting about my daughters wedding in Panglao on the 19th Dec 2018, as it's almost their wedding anniversary.
Oh how I Looove Fried Rice too Sami! Since it was made on the streets right in front of me, I somehow got to do it at home too with the secret ingredient (Knorr Seasoning) HAHA
DeleteThat Wedding is sooo gorgeous! I shared it also to my officemate who loves weddings!
I'm amazed at how good those foods look! Spicy is not for me ...
ReplyDeleteSorry for not coming often, this year has been troublesome for everyone. Hug from Argentina!
Oh my dear brother JLO, I totally understand it. I'm so happy to see you hear again :) Hope you are doing well there in beautiful Argentina (My dream destination ultimately now)
DeleteI love Thai food and you are making me SOOOOO hungry. No way I can get any today also with a big snow storm going on. I bet those are even better than wee get here as our Thai population isn't very big. Great photos Stevenson. I can taste each one from just looking at the photos. Have a great week, and thanks for sharing. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThank you so much dear Erika and I just hope you are safe with the Snow Storm that passed! My boss in Rhode Island was having a hard time shoveling the path to the road from her door. Sending you big hugs dear Erika (Loooovoe New Mexico!)
DeleteI also enjoy Thai food, even if sometimes I am not sure exactly I am ordering. Of course I cannot see what goes into the dish, as the food is cooked away from view. The Colonel's chicken has made it all the way to Thailand! Reminds me of a visiting student from Japan whom we hosted many year ago. It was his first visit to the US and we met him at the airport. Driving home we went past a McDonald's. He exclaimed "OH, you have McDonald's too!"
ReplyDeleteWaaaaa that is super cool about your exchange student visitor Kenneth! hahahahaa And that is right Kenneth, KFC is a very big comfort food for me anywhere HAHA
DeleteAll of the foods look amazing, Stevenson, with the one exception of the Kentucky Fried Chicken because (1) I would never eat there and (2) that chicken looks way too spicy and yes the red color is a giveaway as to WHY!
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHAHA You are soooo right Beatrice! I'm a big sucker for spicy food but I have to be honest, this one is a little bit EXTRA Hahahahaha
DeleteI love Thai food - and your photos are mouthwatering!
ReplyDeleteOh please have some dear Susie :) Greetings of Happy Holidays to KSA!
DeleteOh Yes - So Dig Thai Style Meals - And Yes, That Face, So Red Hot - Well Done - Happy Holidays Brother Man - Be Well
ReplyDeleteCheers
Saya suka masakan Thailand, meskipun semuanya terasa berbeda di Thailand :) Pertama-tama, bahan-bahannya segar dan tidak diangkut ke belahan dunia lain.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Stevenson, hope all is well on your side :)
ReplyDeleteNice to see all of this delicious food.
ReplyDeleteThe Thai Fried Pork Belly with Bean Sprouts looks very tasty :)
Wishing you a happy 2021.
All the best Jan
