Een dag in de droom

Just last week, I was thinking of things to do on the weekend to relax my mind and get away from thinking of work on a weekend. So I got my personal laptop and decided to look for a free video editor and pulled out my hard drive that houses my travel photos and videos. I searched google and stumbled on this free Windows based video editor perfect for my laptop. I gave it a try - definitely hard for beginner with all the controls right in front of me but I managed to locate the important tools.

I came up with the idea of creating a short film with some videos I took from my trip to Europe last December 2019. I have a lot that I used to do my VLOGs but this time I wanted something chill and just music and motion. I have been editing my vlogs and vids thru my phoneall these years and it felt weird but also fulfilloing to edit something using my computer. Using videos from my time in the Netherlands, my first country to visit after arriving in Paris and staying just for a few hours to wait for my bus ride to Amsterdam, I was able to make a short film.

Hope you guys enjoy Een dag in de droom or A day in the Dream in dutch. (Best played on HD - just click on the gear icon at the bottom right and opt for the HD on Video Quality)

  2. Oh, Stevenson, you do magic on a laptop?!
A great video - you´re an artist! Have you thought of doing more in this sector?
I have to admit, I dread the naked-trees-time of the year, but I´ll have cows tomorrow, too (not so hectical , though ;-)...)
    I visited the Netherlands, too.
Guess what happened. I lay at the beach on my tummy in a bikini, reading a book.
A seagull aimed and... meeep! It was brown. It was poop. It was a hit. On me...

    1. Dearest Iris that is so nice of you to say!!! Thank you so much! Oh not yet haha I started a VLOG channel before on YouTube but lately I grew hating seeing myself too much on video so I thought I'd do something more about the place and a nice music track.

Waaaaaa you got super lucky Iris!!! Waaaa I guess it's the bird's way of welcoming you to their beach! haha

  6. This was fun to watch, Stevenson, and glad you took time to find something fun to do and relax. It seems the weather was rather rainy and looked chilly during your visit. I hope you did have some nice days as well.

  8. Stevenson, this is really spectacular. I'm shocked that you don't do this kind of video editing as a profession. A question -- which of the free Windows editors did you use? I don't like the one that came with my computer and am looking for a new one and just seeing this is recommendation enough!
