La Mercè 2025

La Mercè is one of Barcelona's biggest events every single year. It's a celebration of the city's patron saint, The Virgin of Mercy or Mare de Déu de la Mercè. It's a day full of music, dances, exhibitions, open museums, and everything you can think of! Luckily it was also a bank holiday so for me, after almost two years, I took out my Nikon camera from the drawer and brought it with me to the city center to be in the celebrations.

Here are some photos that I took from the beautiful events along the Cathedral area and to the center of Placa Sant Jaume. It was a rainy start of the week but today it was a perfect combination of sunshine and cool breezy weather. I'm just so happy I decided to bring my camera and take these lovely memories to share with you all!

The Journey Continues

Just a post to say hi to everybody and I have been traveling lately during weekends just around Western Europe. Weather is getting chillier than usual here in Barcelona. I love it personally after a striking summer last August that got me sick for a couple of weeks. But so far it's been amazing, my first 9 months. Been trying to do a Social Media break so to spend better time I have updated my Blog's Domain using a subdomain.

Just to spare you the extra click as my old link will now lead you to a more generic site that I plan to use to post my link tree and some portfolio stuff.

Blue Skies in Barceloneta

It has been a while since I used my camera to take pictures and I have to be honest, I did miss the feeling of doing photography using a camera lens. I cannot blame myself because mobile photography is really good nowadays given the power of our phones but still the way you take pictures manually and control the way you see them gives us a bit of extra power.

In the past I have taken a lot of landscape photos of nature and of beautiful places but lately I am growing fond of taking pictures of people and streets and the actions that are happening and it give me more room to challenge my timing and creativity.

                     

I have so much more to learn about Street Photography mainly to take out my shyness to talk to people and I really hope to take a lot more portraits of actions but I know I can only do that if I learn to speak up of course for their concent. I am really grateful to be living in one of the most beautiful and vibrant cities in the world. It sure will help me improve in my photography even more.

Into the New World - Hola New Home!

Hello everyone, it's been another episode of "Stevenson is Missing in the blog world" but this time, my excuse is different. I just moved out of the house, of the Philippines, of Asia. I now live here in Barcelona. It's been quite a long process but God sent a lot of amazing people on the way to make this dream, which I never dared to imagine, become a reality!

Just want to share some photos that I took here in my new hometown ever since I arrived late January of 2023. All photos are shot using my phone.

Thank You Lord for never forsaking every wish, every tear, every want, and every wish. I am just scared I might not dream anymore because I already am living the biggest of them all. But I think this is also a reminder for me to never ever think it is over or that anything bigger than this is even impossible. Thank You for the people you sent my way to pave the road as to where I am at and even to where I am about to go. I will forever be grateful!
